artist statement

My art represents my ability to be creative, diverse, and experimental. From children's book illustrations to photo-realistic portraits, landscape paintings or fused glass, I am constantly experimenting and pushing my art to the next level.

bio

I’ve been an artist ever since I can remember. Drawing and creating my entire life. After graduating with honors from Ringling College of Art & Design in 1983, I founded Verrandeaux Visual Communications, an international advertising agency which was a very fast-paced and stressful 21 years. With the help of my husband, Bob, the business grew employing 13 artists with international and domestic clients. In 2008 I sold the business to focus on fine art, portraits, commissions and landscapes.

I have done hundreds of portraits, commissions and landscapes. I’ve illustrated children’s books, and numerous book covers. I have been selected as a cover artist for the Hampton Classic, countless horse show covers and posters for the Classic Company. Painted several “horse fever” life-sized fiberglass horses for charity, designed the Florida State horse license plate and has won numerous awards for my work in the arts. I continue to work and accept commissions as a fine artist and recently have challenged myself experimenting with fused glass art - a more abstract and exciting new medium.
