As a painter, I am inspired by the experience of  creating art and recreating memories. I love to explore both light and shapes through representative and more abstract landscapes and the occasional still life. 

 

My love of travel and exploration inspires my art, along with the photos that come from both. My goal is to create a sense of place in the viewer’s mind while creating art that people enjoy in their homes. 

 

Things that fascinate me include the place where land meets sky and the way color changes unexpectedly throughout a scene. My greatest challenge is always the balance between a faithful representation of what is in front of me and bringing emotion and movement to a piece.
